Down In Front Records knows that building a strong local, grassroots music scene around a new artist is absolutely critical to that artist’s ultimate success. To be a national or international celebrity, one must first be a local and regional hit! And those local “hot spots” have to be developed and expanded by a team of people who believe in the artist. Who better to help us do this job than the FANS? As a new label, Down In Front Records will initially move our music into the marketplace electronically, via download, and by selling CDs and merchandise at live events. Live events will be supported by, and sometimes created by, an aggressive region by region radio promotion campaign.

We intend to get radio. Radio begets retail distribution. But there is an interim period, between the start of an artist’s regional growth in popularity due to company promotions and press reports, and the arrival of product (the artist’s CDs) in mainstream record outlets, when product is in demand but that demand is not easily or quickly filled. Yes, the music will be available from our website, but many people still prefer the personal touch and of course, many do not use credit cards or shop online. This situation creates an opportunity for Down In Front Reps. By becoming a Down In Front Rep, and purchasing a special Rep Pack, you can stock and sell CDs to the market we are creating through our radio promotions and PR campaigns, and you can profit from those sales!
